Our Instrumentation and Controls Engineer careers allow you to you have the opportunity to assist in delivering cutting edge automation services to our clients. Each day, you will assist senior engineers with design and software integration projects. You will create drawings, coordinate with other disciplines, direct the work of CAD technicians, and produce specifications and deliverables. In addition, you will perform PLC and HMI programming as part of SCADA integration projects. You will be part of a team engaged in delivering some of the most exciting projects in the Western region. You should have strong leadership skills, be a self-motivated professional, possess a Bachelors degree with 10 years of experience, and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each new project.
Our Instrumentation & Controls Engineers:
Design support in producing deliverables, contract drawings and documents, design calculations and analysis
Assist senior Instrumentation and Controls engineers and SCADA programmers in a team environment
Conduct equipment and site testing
Perform start-up and commissioning activities
Present controls strategies to clients for small to large water/wastewater projects
Prepare specifications and drawings, design control systems, write control system descriptions, perform system integration, perform start up and commissioning activities
Have understanding of municipal water/wastewater treatment processes and facilities
Work with senior engineers to select and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
Work with senior engineers/programmers to utilize PLC control systems, SCADA Systems, and Human Machine Interface software to effectively design and implement instrumentation and control systems for large water/wastewater projects
Develop PLC code and produce SCADA graphics
Participate in wiring and panel drawing development
Drive ownership of health & safety in all aspects of project execution, office and personal environments

Basic Qualifications
Mechanical, Chemical, Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering Degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 6-10 years' experience in various aspects of industrial automation, electrical power and building systems design
Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated familiarity with National and Provincial Building and Electrical Codes and Standards
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation or AutoCAD.
Demonstrated superior knowledge of PLC control systems, P&ID development, control system architecture development, SCADA systems, Networks, Network Security systems, motor control and power distribution systems.
Demonstrated understanding and experience dealing with municipal water and wastewater treatment processes and facilities
