General Purpose
Provides advice and counsel to management and client organizations. Conducts special studies and analyses, develops alternatives, presents recommendations to management and influences management decisions. Researches, analyzes, develops and implements new strategies, programs, and/or processes in response to changing internal and external conditions.
Responsibilities of this position include the following:
Manage multiple and diverse business control functions.
Conduct process assessments evaluate general computing controls, establish improvements, test current processes, and perform special projects.
Manage multiple projects and conflicting deadlines to ensure adherence to project timelines and critical review dates.
Ensures controls are appropriate and operating as designed for iEnergy systems with new program development, enhancements to existing programs or logic validating measure assumptions.
Perform independent assessments and analysis of system controls and related evidence that supports compliance.
Guide and assist program owners in the system design, performance, and reporting to manage their DSM programs in iEnergy.
Analyze and assess internal system control risks and recommend improvement opportunities.
Design system control reports to meet control monitoring requirements.
Investigate system control anomalies in data analysis, process errors and resolve issues without direct supervision.
Report on system control anomalies to DSM manager and findings of noncompliance.
Develop mitigation action plans for findings of noncompliance.
Manage complex system control and process development work activity, including the development and delivery of the iEnergy system or modified processes as needed.
Qualifications
Requirements for this position include the following:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
A minimum of five years’ experience in audit, finance, accounting, business compliance, DSM system support, or functions related to access, change or system security management.
Research and analysis skills including the ability to obtain relevant data, evaluate complex situations, develop creative alternatives, provide recommendations, and negotiate and influence outcomes.
System program design skills including development of processes or new or modified programs to meet DSM’s needs.
Communication and interpersonal skills involving the ability to establish trust, maintain confidence, and understand social behavior interactions.
Ability to work with all organizational levels.
Ability to listen and communicate effectively through oral and written means.
Proficient with the use of personal computers to gather, analyze, and summarize data.
Project management and leadership skills including the ability to work as a team member with other control personnel in a shared role for oversight of general computing controls and group level commitments.
Knowledge of research, analysis, and consulting techniques, Company policies, procedures, practices, and applicable federal, state, and local governmental laws and regulations.
Preferences:
Knowledge of general computing controls analysis, DSM audit or iEnergy system functions related to functionality, program design, access, or system security management.
Knowledge of the electric utility industry.
Understanding of what is required by Internal and External Auditors in the demonstration of the effectiveness of internal controls over DSM systems.
In-depth understanding of company, operational, and business-specific processes and controls.
Working knowledge of SAP, advanced Excel, Access and analysis capability
