Description
Supervise, coordinate and perform all project cost and schedule functions and support estimating activities of projects through application of diversified controls, systems, principles and practices.
Essential Functions
Plan, coordinate, supervise and perform tasks required to develop and maintain budgets and schedules for all projects. Includes administrative and technical direction with project personnel, coding time sheets, invoices, collecting actual installed quantities to cost and monitor progress for all projects.
Develop and implement project controls standards and procedures; monitor compliance and initiate corrective measures as necessary.
Ensure all project cost, data collection, field estimating, productivity analysis and budget forecasting; and scheduling updates, progress reporting and problem analysis activities comply with company and client requirements.
Represent company cost engineering in meetings with client, A/E representatives, Subcontractors and others, as required.
Maintain liaison with project management and supervision, accounting department, client and subcontractors on all controls related items and functions including schedule updates, reporting requirements, budgets and cash flow.
Support supervision or construction management through preparation and maintenance of budgets and forecasts. Includes identifying potential cost overruns, reexamining over-expended accounts and margin analysis.
Interface with other construction departments to provide cost and budget data for items such as subcontract change requests, bid comparisons, new work item estimates and expenditure control.
Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.
Perform all other job related duties as requested by supervision.

Qualifications
Minimum 8 years similar construction cost experience or any equivalent combinations training and related experience.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical problem solving skills required.
Working knowledge of and ability to apply resource monitoring and project control techniques for cost accounting, budget analysis as well as an understanding of the nature of process systems, structure and construction technology required.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical/Special Requirements
May involve frequent travel and overtime.
