Introduction:



One of our clients, a European-based premium, specialist pump manufacturer for slurry applications mainly for the mining and power industries, has an opening for a Sales Engineer.
Location: Johannesburg metropolitan area (negotiable)



Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications:



A relevant tertiary qualification, ideally mechanical engineering



Work experience:



Extensive experience in the pump industry (engineering, service, sales)
Well connected in the mining and power industries
Special emphasis on connection with decision making engineers in EPC/EPCM companies
Willing to travel extensively, in South Africa and also Southern Africa at tines
Self-starter



Job description:



Acquire and secure clients and contracts for a European-based premium, specialist pump manufacturer for slurry applications mainly for the mining and power industries.
This will require contact with engineers in EPC/EPCM companies as well as decision makers in the mining and power industries in order to convince them of the advantages of this pumping solution, for which there is interest but no clients yet in Southern Africa.
Initially the role will also entail providing service advice to clients.
