You will have diverse pump application opportunities, for new equipment, parts and service, across a broad range of industries including mining, pulp mills, municipal water and wastewater. As the Pump Sales Professional your responsibilities and functions would include:
Build, manage and enhance relationships with customers in Vancouver and the Southern interior by:
Soliciting and developing new opportunities, by continually sourcing and prospecting new clients; conducting sales calls including cold calls
Selling pumps, packages, parts and service to broad industrial base including, pulp mills, mining, municipal water and wastewater, manufacturing, etc.
On going networking and meetings with the influencers and decision makers
Be the educational lead for clients including ‘lunch and learns’, trade shows and providing supporting technical information
Providing Excellence in Customer service
Actively communication with team members, vendors and suppliers to:
Support product selection application and quotes
Oversee engineered bid proposals including follow-up
Provide product and package technical support
Develop a business plan, sales forecasts, and support marketing strategies
Required Skills and Qualifications
Post-secondary degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant PUMP industry experience.
Demonstrated success with a minimum of 3 years selling pumps or related mechanical sales with a technical knowledge of fluid handling equipment
Proven ability to be proactive and highly motivated, working with a dynamic team
Effective written and oral communication skills with strong listening and clarification skills
Well developed ability to make successful sales presentations at all levels of the clients
Strong business, strategic planning, and account management
Focused on excellence in client service
Great negotiation and CLOSING abilities
Analytical skills to break down complex issues and solve problems
Driven to succeed with a positive attitude!
