An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations /Project Manager to be responsible for our ongoing projects verified from Manila and with additional accountability for our business in Papua New Guinea.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Ensuring that work specifications are correct, cost effective and delivered on time in accordance to customer/client specification and quality requirements.
Managing the Purchasing function / department to ensure material is purchased cost effectively and available for production when required, that the company's stock inventory is accurate.
As part of the senior management team you will also be jointly responsible for contributing towards the achievement of the company's strategic and operational targets and overall business aims.
Contract Review / Capacity Planning
Planning & Scheduling of Workload
Quality Control
Health & Safety
Key qualifications and competencies:
The following are essential for the role:
Possess experience of sub contract environment
Have a working understanding of production planning & scheduling
Key attributes
Have a working understanding of quality management system
Have a working understanding of health and safety best practice and legislation
Possess experience in the operating within ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for a demanding and customer focused working environment
Be personally energetic, dynamic, positive, enthusiatic and possess the ability to think laterally and act through reasoned decision making.
Possess the ability to implement and manage change in the business.
The Person:
Ideally with experience of anything offshore/onshore project (Oil & Gas)
Experience of working in Asia a decided benefit, with multinational/ cultural workforce.
Detailed; able to effectively implement project plans and contracts. Decisive, but with clear a understanding of protocols.
Able to establish links with new business prospects and develop relationsships with existing customers.
