Our client, in the Automotive industry, is looking for a solid, process oriented Engineer or Technologist to join their team as a Weld Technician. The successful candidate will be familiar with PLC's, welding and re-design processes and be someone who is comfortable working on an afternoon shift.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and modify weld controllers, robotics & PLC's or HMI's
Preventative maintenance, repairs and running processes as required
Working with tooling and fixtures to meet requirements
Adjust MIG and spot welding schedules
Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards and legislations
Required to be on the floor 100% of the time
Requirements:
5 years of experience in a similar role
Post-Secondary education, Electro-Mechanical Technician diploma preferred
Automotive experience a MUST have
Welding experience (Spot & MIG)
Ability to problem solve, work independently and work with minimal supervision
Previous experience with robotics (ABB & Panasonic)
Some previous experience or knowledge of PLC programming
