Responsibilities:

The Greensboro, NC office of [Company] seeks a senior geotechnical engineer who, upon Board approval, will function as principal engineer. Working with a team of geotechnical engineers and construction materials testing project managers, the incumbent will be involved in geotechnical report preparation, senior level review, and mentoring of geotechnical engineering staff. Candidates should have experience working on both geotechnical and CMT [construction materials testing] projects as low barriers are maintained between departments. The position has a strong emphasis on client and business development. You will be responsible for assisting other staff in marketing [Company] services; including taking the lead in marketing one of our target business segments that is best suited to candidate's capabilities and interests. Candidates with knowledge of and established relationships in the local market are strongly preferred.

Qualifications:

BSCE required; MSCE with geotechnical emphasis preferred.
10-15 years of geotechnical/CMT engineering experience.
Must have a NC PE license, or be capable of obtaining a local license through reciprocity within three months following date of hire.
Strong project management, marketing and communication skills required.
We seek a technically competent geotechnical engineer with skills in business development.
