Position Summary
Safely perform all necessary servicing on assigned equipment (i.e. check fluid levels, change filters, check oil levels, knows types of fluids, grease and fuel).
Position Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Must work safely and promote the safe behavior in others
Combination of formal mechanic/welding vocational or apprenticeship training and related mechanical maintenance experience totaling at least six (6) months; or six (6) months of related mine mechanical maintenance experience
Able to perform all necessary servicing on assigned equipment (i.e. check fluid levels, change filters, check oil levels, knows types of fluids, grease and fuel)
Must be familiar with maintenance and fluid requirements of heavy equipment, be able to perform minor preventive maintenance on support equipment, and be able to operate service vehicles safely correctly, and effectively
Able to read and interpret parts and maintenance manuals for mine site equipment
Able to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime as required
