Your future company

Our client is an international mining company with operations in Africa, looking for a Mine Closure Manager to take care of the progressive closure of the operation.

Your future role

You will organise and accompany the progressive closure of the mining operations

You will plan the different phases of the closure and manage the human resources aspects and reorganisation of work

You will manage the site to ensure it remains in a good and safe condition.

You will be responsible for managing and coping with the environmental risks identified, according to ongoing environmental obligations.

You will notably have to deal with the waste dumps and tailings storage facilities.

You will also be involved with other mining projects of the group

About You

It is essential that you can demonstrate at least 10 years’ experience in Mine Management/Operations and previous experience in managing the full care and maintenance process of mining projects.

You must have a proven track record of successfully working on mining projects in different countries. Experience in Africa would be a plus.

You must have strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.

You are able of effective decision-making and problem solving, and are fluent in English.
