Job Description :
This position will work with Product and Engineering teams to review new and updated Engineering data. In support of standard Engineering processes, this position will review the format and content of Engineering Change Orders (ECO) against [Company] standards, including Part, Assembly, and CAD data and will also support the Product Teams with some Replacement Parts List publishing, as well as some product definition and update projects.
Job duties:
Using Agile and Oracle software, review, implement and distribute Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) originated by the Product Teams
Review Engineering CAD files against a standard checklist
Document ECO accuracy data to support Engineering output metrics
Manage New Part Order Process (NPOP) ECOs through Engineering and other groups to insure metrics are achieved
Support the Product Teams in creation of Replacement Parts Lists for Dragline, Cable Shovel, and Hydraulic Machine Products. Includes liaison with Engineers, illustration preparation, publication and electronic distribution.
Setup new items in Agile and document them on ECOs on a limited basis, as needed, to support product teams
Scan legacy documents into electronic format and archive into Agile
Work with other Regional Change Analysts to coordinate Engineering throughput for maximum throughput and accuracy
Perform scheduled Engineering Data audits and mass-updates
Job Requirements :
Minimum of a high school diploma with 5 years’ experience working with engineering data required; Associates degree in technical field with 2 years of experience working with engineering data preferred
Must have working knowledge of MS Office products including ability to create and run basic queries to analyze part and documentation data using Excel and Access
Must have a general understanding of CAD systems with ability to learn NX CAD sufficiently to follow a checklist to review and approve product design files and assembly structures coming from Product Engineering
Basic understanding of Adobe products including ability to publish PDF files from MS Office products and Adobe Illustrator to create illustrations from Postscript files preferred
Other Skills & Abilities:
Quickly develop sufficient knowledge of Agile PLM system to create, approve, route and release parts and documents
Ability to learn new systems that manage replacement parts lists, or other engineering data (e.g. LinkOne).
Basic understanding of Engineering concepts, including Product Specification data, Revisions, and Assembly Structures
Travel Requirements: 0-10%
