Description
Performs mechanical repairs and maintenance for all Mill crusher/ball/rod operations.
Essential Functions
Interprets engineering drawings, sketches, manufacturer’s instructions and work orders.
Installs, dismantles, repairs, fabricates, lubricates, maintains structures and parts as required.
Conducts a planned preventive maintenance program, performing repairs, making inspections, replacements, and lubricates as required.
Inspects and maintains cranes and lifting devices to insure proper mechanical operation and safe condition.
Operates cranes and lifting devices during the course of routine or emergency repairs.
Rigs materials for lifting by crane and signals crane man when life is being made.
Handles, loads, unloads, transports materials and machine parts used in performance of duties.
Performs minor work on piping or tubing when necessary to uncouple or replace machinery such as pumps or compressors.
Installs and maintains hydraulic systems equipment, excluding pipe except where incidental to the repair.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situation where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Required Education and Experience
Completion of 4 year apprenticeship or 5 years maintenance experience on similar mining/milling equipment.
High School diploma or GED.
