Our client, a service provider to petroleum, chemical, and mining processing industries, is looking for AutoCAD Field Drafters for positions based in Redwater, AB. These are contractual positions for 7-10 months with 4 days compressed work week.
As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for:
Perform field walk down Piping and instrumentation diagram in the plants.
Verify that equipment and piping are in accordance with required specifications and drawings.
Manually mark up the drawings and field sketches, if required.
Use your general drafting knowledge and techniques to complete all the required procedures.
Other duties as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering Design or Drafting will be required.
Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience (with Degree) or 5 years of relevant experience without degree will be considered.
Must have hands on experience with AutoCAD 2009 or newer version.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office 2007 (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) will be required.
Excellent communication abilities and interpersonal skills.
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Drug and Alcohol Test, Driver's abstract and criminal record check will be a part of the process.
