Description
[C] K. A. Steel Chemicals Distribution, a division of Olin Corporation[/C] , has openings for Truck Drivers (Tanker) in the Dallas, TX area. The Driver operates a tractor trailer tank truck to deliver hazardous materials and products in a safe and timely manner to regions to be covered within a 300 mile radius of Dallas, TX area. We offer a competitive starting salary of $19.00/hour and a sign on bonus.
Responsibilities include:
Conduct pre/post trip inspections
Complete accurate information for onboard computer system(s) and electronic systems
Adhere to all safety requirements including wearing all PPE during loading and unloading
Load tankers to full capacity, ensuring safe and timely deliveries
Maintain the highest level of customer service
Maintenance and housekeeping compliances to ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of equipment
Ensure effective internal and external communications using voice and on-board computer and communication equipment to dispatch office, customer service, and customers
Comply with all governmental regulations and complete all required documentation in electronic or paper/pencil formats
Minimum Qualifications include:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Minimum of 5 years commercial driving (Tractor Trailer) experience in all weather conditions and environments (i.e. ice, snow, mountain areas, steep grades, etc.) required with proven safe work record
Commercial driver's license required
Hazardous materials and tanker endorsements required
Experience with bulk chemical delivery preferred
Minimum of one year or more of chemical tanker experience preferred
Must be able to climb trailer and cab ladders; lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds including cranking dolly legs; and wear a chemical suit in hot and cold environments
