Introduction:
An distinguished company within the Transport industry is actively seeking a Skip Binshop Supervisor to efficiently and effectively maintain the plant, machinery, vehicles and premises, reducing breakdowns, improving throughput and maximizing plant availability.
The incumbent has to assist with the controlling of production and logistics, record keeping and all legal requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
Matric with Mathematics and Science
A related Tertiary qualification would be advantageous.
Experience as a boilermaker would be advantageous.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relevant field with experience in bins, back-ends and equipment’s maintenance/manufacturing
Job Specification:
Key Performance Areas:
Supervision of staff to ensure maximum performance
Responsible for the administration function relevant to ISO requirements for the site
Effective repair and manufacture of waste containers and equipment
General housekeeping & operational efficiencies
Stock control of critical spares
Ensure planned and scheduled maintenance takes place to minimize breakdowns and increase cost-effectiveness
Roles & Responsibilities (Job Requirements):
Supervision and planning in maintenance of waste containers in terms of all site infrastructures
Ensure preventative maintenance planned and executed in a cost-effective manner
Ensure that all breakdowns are attended to immediately
Plan weekly and annual maintenance
Management, maintenance and control of stock of critical spares
Ensure maintenance checklists are completed accurately and timeously
Ensure breakdowns are minimized and addressed timeously and recorded accurately. (e.g. Job cards, time sheets, checklists etc)
Keep ISO registers and documents updated
Ensure factory is operating according to the IQMS
Train, develop and motivate staff to ensure optimum productivity
Ensure the safety and health of all employees through safety awareness and health and safety audits
Ensure compliance to operational and legal requirements with regard to health and safety
Carry out disciplinary procedures as required
Ensure housekeeping
Manage security
Comply with all requirements as well as the Company Quality Policy
Objectives and regulations
Work overtime and do call outs should the need arise
