The Opportunity
We are looking for a Pit Controller to assist Pit and Maintenance teams by identifying any issues that need to be taken into consideration for logistics planning and coordinating and communicating this to site.
Our state-of-the-art Operations Centre (OC) located near the Perth domestic airport, is a key component of our Mine of the Future™ vision. The OC control room operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to coordinate our integrated network of mines, rail, power and ports. It enables all our mines, ports and rail systems to be operated from a single location, optimising site activities from 1,500km away.
What the role entails
This role is a great opportunity to assist and direct pit operations to ensure that safety, environmental, cost, operational and production targets are met. Working a 3 days on, 3 nights on and 6 off roster and reporting to the Superintendent Pit OC Control, you will be:
Optimizing the haul cycle in a safe and efficient manner
Planning logistics and execution for the Load and Haul stage of mining using dispatch
Planning the logistics on the pit as conditions change due to maintenance, breakdown, operator error and other factors
What you will need for this role
To succeed in this role, you will have:
A manual "C" class driver's licence
Proven experience in pit operations or a logistics environment
Advanced knowledge of Citect or AMPLA
An understanding of the supply chain
