Requirements:
Appropriate Trade Qualification Fitter
N3 or equivalent qualification at NQF Level 4
At least 5 years post experience in a plant and mining environment
Must have experience on Jaw Crushers and Ball Mills – Flotation
Basic Computer literacy – MS Office Package, SAP
Knowledge of applicable laws and standards
Project Management experience would be an advantage
Valid driver’s license – Code 08
Supervisory skills
Technical Work Responsibilities:
All mechanical equipment and installations compliance to legal standards
Machinery within area of responsibility meets operational standards
Machinery within area of responsibility is maintained to planned targets
Material management
Standard operating procedures are applied in the execution of tasks
Safety measures and precautions are implemented and maintained as stipulated
All reports and required legal records are maintained as stipulated
Hazard identification and risk assessments
SHE Compliance
Budget and Cost Management

Work Description:
The Plant Foreman – Mechanical – is a 2.9.2. Appointment in terms of the MHS Act and is responsible for the supervision of artisans in the maintenance and installation of mechanical equipment and services.
It includes the administration and management of assigned resources within the designated area towards effective operation of the Business Area.
