About the role
Reporting to the Superintendent Analysis and Improvement Production, the Specialist Analysis and Improvement will provide specialist advice, execute analysis and benchmark the Production function's end-to-end performance at our Daunia Mine. You will also be responsible for identifying and implementing improvement initiatives that enable functional excellence and support business priorities for continuous improvement across the mining and processing sequences. . This role is based at Daunia Mine, Central Queensland, and is on 4/4/4/2 FIFO roster from Brisbane.
Your responsibilities may include
Analyse performance metrics and benchmark performance across the department and report on key findings;
Data Analysis and reporting as required;
Conduct compliance and adherence checks against operating standards, procedures and work instructions;
Provide feedback and recommendations to Supervisors in regards to crews performance;
Coach production crews in the use of the relevant systems and processes and conduct auditing to ensure compliance;
Identify and recommend process improvement opportunities to the Superintendent and Manager through effective data and cost analysis; and
Develop and maintained positive relationships through effective communication and consultation.
About you
The Analysis and Improvement team is a key role for us on site and requires you to be a strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to identify improvements across the department.
The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Processing Engineering, or Engineering and/or relevant experience within a similar role. Your knowledge of mining or processing operations coupled with strong analytical skills and attention to detail will ensure success in this role. Demonstrated experience with identifying process improvements initiatives (LEAN/Six Sigma) and experience with fleet management and/or processing systems will be highly regarded.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must, allowing you to build relationships across departments and to communicate with disciplines at all levels.
