Our client a renowned mining contractor operating in Africa is currently looking for Project / Mine Manager!
Your future role
The role will include planning and managing all production, maintenance and logistic operations for a mining project. This is a hugely challenging role, which offers an opportunity for a strong leader with a commercially driven approach to take their career to another level.
Ensure that environmental, health and safety standards are maintained
Actively input into the design and implementation of the mining plan, including optimization of mining and haulage planning
Ensure smooth coordination between the maintenance and mining team
Set budgets, analyse variances to budget and financial commentary
Develop strategic scenarios / models
Management and direction of team
Develop Continuous improvement strategy
Self-awareness, cultural sensitivity, flexibility and adaptability, resilience
The candidate
You can demonstrate around 10 years of experience in similar roles.
You have previous experience working for a mining contractor
You must have a proven track record of successfully working on mining projects in Francophone African countries.
You have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in French is an additional asset
