Our Manchester, New Hampshire office has an immediate opening for a temporary junior level professional, trained in the field of Geotechnical Engineering, seeking a challenging career with a growth-oriented company committed to providing quality services to clients. This individual will be responsible for the coordination and execution of project tasks including: acquisition, interpretation and presentation of geotechnical data; data synthesis, geotechnical analyses, development of design recommendations, preparation of technical reports, and monitoring civil/foundation construction. The position requires a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience, and a M.S. degree in Civil/Geotechnical/Geological Engineering or Engineering Geology from an accredited academic institution. Applicants should have academic or professional training in soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and rock mechanics with emphasis in several of the following areas: subsurface investigations, engineering geology, geotechnical laboratory testing and mechanics of materials. Additional job requirements include:

Job Requirements:

Strong technical writing capabilities and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint at minimum)
Engaging interpersonal skills combined with a positive, team-oriented attitude
Focused organization and time management abilities
A strong work ethic
Authorization to work in the United States
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as dictated by project demands
Pass a pre-employment physical including a drug screening and background check
A clean driving record

Additional Information:

While not required, training or experience in the following areas is considered a plus: field explorations in soft ground, CPT testing and data interpretation, geotechnical instrumentation systems, 2D and 3D slope stability models, finite element analysis, seismic analyses, deep foundations, rock slope stabilization, earth support structures, earth dams/levees, landfill design, hydrology and hydraulics, Mathcad, AutoCAD, database management, and geographic information systems (GIS).
